Busy at Maths

We have been very busy in our Maths lessons in 2nd Class for the past few weeks.

Last week, we were working on Place Value. We were so happy that the sun was shining on Friday that we took our work outdoors. We had a Place Value Hunt and had to record the numbers shown on hidden cards. There were some surprise cards too with exercises such as push-ups, jumping jacks and touching toe stretches for us to do and work off a little more energy!

This week, we were exploring Data and had fun with some Smarties. We first sorted the Smarties according to colour. We then displayed the data on a block graph and compared the results with our partners. The best part was eating the sweets at the end!
